The problem I have chosen to address for my doctoral research is the process of developing true worshipers through spiritual formation for the purpose of offering God acceptable worship. The purpose of this post is to establish the biblical precedence, as taught by Jesus, of forming or developing a human being spiriutally.

 

Scripture Foundation For Argument

Psalm 100:”1 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. 2 Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. 3 Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. 5 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations”.

 

Commentary

Worship between one worshiper and God is what we call personal worship. Worship between two or more persons and God is identified as corporate worship. There has been much discussion and contraversey over the centuries concerning what God requires in our corporate worship. The assumption I purport in this post is Psalms 100 contains all the necessary components to achieve acceptable corporate worship.  What solution does Paul give those who aspire to offer God accepatble worship? What say ye? Support all counter arguments with scripture.
